About The Literacy Strand
This professional development initiative is aimed to develop and implement tools and processes to aid teachers in delivering effective specially designed instruction to improve the literacy outcomes for learners with disabilities. This work is taking place through areas focused on Significant Disabilities, Preschool, and K-6.
The initiative requires key roles and essential functions from various district, AEA, and Department of Education personnel.
